The Under 13 Fillies.

Woodstock 9 - 2 Fulston Fillies (09-09-07)

This really was a game of two halves, Fillies played some great football in the 1st half putting Woodstock under pressure and not letting them settle.the girls took the lead early on thanks to a great finish from naomi kemsley inside the box,the opposition then drew back level with a well executed free kick from outside the area .again the girls went back in front thanks to a great run by alice watling who slid the ball across for her strike partner grace baacke to push into an empty net.woodstock then drew back level by virtue of a rare keeping error from jaime vidler who in turn had a great game and was voted as best player by the opposition.  The 2nd half see the girls go completely to the other end of the scale and fall apart letting the opposition play the ball around them with ease and score freely, communication and concentration was seriously lacking and commitment fell by the wayside , if their 1st half performance had been brought through to the rest of the game the result  could have been  a whole lot different. lets learn from this girls and turn the negatives into positives .

Fulston Fillies 11 - 1 Barming (16-09-07)

A great day for the girls, getting their first win in two seasons, but not only winning, but winning in style with great football being played throughout the entire game. from the 1st whistle the girls controlled the game looking solid at the back. Very alert in midfield and awesome up front!  at the end of the first half  the girls went in 7-0 up thanks to a first half hat-trick by Grace Baacke and one a piece from Stacey Brett and Micarlla Rumley also with Alice Watling bagging a brace. The second half was much the same with the girls looking solid in all areas. Alice Watling grabbed a second half hat-trick bringing her total to five for the day. Grace baacke finished off the score line and taking her total to four. Grace Baacke was awarded player of the match by the opposition and Micarlla Rumley was awarded managers award for her outstanding effort during the game.  All the girls deserved an award for their efforts today!! long may it continue!!!

Bearsted 2 - 4 Fulston Fillies (23-09-07)

Another win, another 3 points we have now doubled our points tally from last season so already we are having a better season than last! The game started slowly for the girls and two simple basic errors allowed the opposition two goals in the first five minutes. from that point the girls started to get their position and began to apply pressure to Bearsted. Alice Watling made it 2-1 with a well placed shot from outside the area, shortly after Grace Baacke brought us level with a vicious shot also from outside the area. Fillies went in 2-2 at the break but started to look the far more dominant team. Second half was much the same from the girls applying pressure from the first whistle, at one point all the play was in and around the Bearsted area, the opposition was pounded by corner after corner and finally the girls took the lead from a well taken volley from Alice Watling.

On the odd occasion when the opposition broke the mid-field and defence stood solid, Charlotte Dowsett had a particularly strong game and was awarded player of the match by the manager. Fillies carried on the pressure and were awarded a penalty for hand-ball, Stacey Brett stepped forward to convert the spot kick and executed it perfectly! Alice Watling was awarded opposition’s player of the match.

Fulston Fillies 5 - 3 Hugin Vikings (07-10-07)

This was a big game for the girls, playing a team that are very strong and currently holding 2nd spot in the league. Before kick-off the girls were told that they had to be on their game and really up for it. From the start they were more than up for it, playing their best football of the season so far, playing with strength, passion and commitment. Alice Watling grabbed the lead with a well taken one on one, the lead was then doubled with a great shot from Stacey Brett from outside the penalty area. Hugin gought back and made it 2-1 but the Fillies soon regained their 2 goal advantage thanks to Alice Watling grabbing her 2nd making it 3-1 at the break. Soon after half time Hugin started to fight their way back into the game but the Fillies defended strongly with some solid goalkeeping from Jaime Vidler keeping Hugin at bay. The Fillies soon regained control of the gameand hit Hugin on the break and added a 4th thanks to a well taken goal from midfielder Naomi Kemsley. From this point, the game became very open and was end to end stuff. Hugin grabbed a 2nd but the Fillies replied sharply with a very well taken goal from Grace Baacke, who, with her back to goal tossed the ball over the 'keeper, ran through and slid it home. With a few minutes to go Hugin scored a 3rd but the girls were home and dry with 3 points in the bag! It was a great day for the girls with everyone giving 100%. Amy Baker was awarded player of the match by the opposition and rightly so. Amy is showing strength and courage and improving all the time. Managers award went to Lauren Emmett, our youngest player, who is now coming to terms with 11-A-Side and getting better with every game. Well done girls! Very Well done!!

Fulston Fillies 0 - 10 Crystal Palace (14-10-07) (Cup)

A really tough game for the girls today palace who are top of div 1 and strong in every department .To be fair the 1st half was evenly matched and didn't do the girls justice going in 3 down at the break . Fillies came close several times in the 1st half and even hitting the woodwork but the ball just would not go over the line for us today. At the start of the 2nd half Palace snatched 2 very quick goals and the girls heads began to drop and from that point found it hard getting back into the game. The goals came thick and fast and the girls started to let simple basic errors back into their game. On a brighter side one performance did shine through that of goalkeeper Jaime Vidler who made some great saves and who seems to be getting better with every game. Jaime was voted player of the match by the opposition and also given the managers award, well done ja!

Sheerness East 0 - 3 Fulston Fillies (21-10-07)

Another good win for the girls although making very hard work of it. They went in 2.0 up at the break but if the chances had been taken it could have been 7 or 8. Goals in the first half were taken by strike partners Alice Watling and Grace Baacke. The second half was very much the same with chances going by the way side, finally the 3rd goal was notched up thanks to a well taken goal by Grace Baacke. Throughout the game the defence looked fairly solid and the midfield never stopped working hard. There was some very good individual performances, Alice watling played a very solid game up front, Mircalla Rumbley  was very busy and working hard in midfield but the 2 big performances of the day was shanice March who played a absolute blinder in midfield and Charlotte Dowset - alias 'lotti' who was solid as a rock in defence. Both of these girls looked like they have turned a corner and raised there standard of play another rung up the ladder. Alice Watling was awarded oppisition player of the mach and Shanice March was awarded manages award.

Fulston Fillies 1 - 4 Walderslade (28-10-07)

A really dissapointing day which ended up being a very flattering scoreline. each and every girl played extremely well and gave 100% . at half time the score was 0-0 with the fillies having the lions share of possession and chances. The second half started in the same manor with the girls playing the better football but it was the opposition who opened the scoring with the long ball over the top, within minutes the girls went 3-0 down thanks to the long ball over the top. the girls carried on in the same vein, playing good football and creating chances, the only trouble was every chance created seemed to fall into the arms of the keeper. fillies finally pulled back with some great build up play and a storming finish from naomi kemsley. the girls looked like they may of had a fighting chance when they were awarded a penalty for hand ball but alas the shot was a hit wide of the target. The girls heaped on the pressure trying to get back into the game but were caught on the break and the opposition got their 4th of the game. This to me as manager was our best team performance ever, although the result did not go our way. Jamie vidler was awarded opposition player of the match, Naomi kemsley was given the managers award.

Walderslade 3 - 2 Fulston Fillies (04-11-07)

Yet another disappointing result for the girls , having more than the lions share of possession the girls just could not stamp their authority on the game. At the end of the 1st half the girls were trailing 1-0 thanks to a very late strike by the opposition. In the 2nd half the girls pulled level thanks to some good build up play by the team allowing Grace baacke to set up her strike partner Alice Watling. Unfortunately some very poor defending allowed walderslade to take the lead again .The girls applied more pressure and grabbed an equalizer again thanks to a great finish from Alice watling .From that point the girls seemed to panic a little and allow the opposition to come at them more. As time went on and on and on the game seemed destined to be a draw but a great strike from the opposition really late on in the game gave all 3 points to Walderslade! Oppositions player of the match was awarded to Jaime Vidler our keeper, who,if she works hard at training and really puts her mind to it, could be a very accomplished goalkeeper! Managers award was given to Alice Watling not only for her 2 goals but also for her hard work and determination throughout the game.

Barming 0 - 15 Fulston Fillies (18-11-07)

A day of complete dominance by the fillies who were in control from the first to last whistle against bottom of the league team Barming. Every player chipped in to make some of the football the smoothest we have seen this season. 5 goals a piece from our striking pair Grace Baacke and Alice Watling, 2 goals each from defender Aime Baker and midfielder Stacey Brett and finally a brilliant strike from Mircalla Rumley who netted from the half way line. Oppositions player of the match was given to Jaime Vidler and managers player went to Donna Arnold.  Full credit must be given to the Barming girls who battled all through the match.

Fulston Fillies 4 -2 Bearsted (25-11-07)

A fairly solid performance from the girls today with every girl doing their fair share of work. The 1st half started very lively with the girls creating many chances, the deadlock was broken thanks to a superbly placed shot by Grace Baacke, soon after the Fillies doubled their lead thanks to the midfielder Naomi Kemsley, against the run of the play Bearsted pulled one back just before the break. The 2nd half continued in the same vein with the Fillies dominating, the girls then gained the two goal advantage with a goal that would be a serious challenger for goal of the season, Naomi Kemsley  grabbed her 2nd with a vicious 25yrd left foot strike that pierced the top corner of the goal. Then Naomi grabbed her well deserved hattrick to give the Fillies a 3 goal advantage. with minuites to go Bearsted picked up their 2nd but the game was was well out of their reach. Grace Baacke was awarded opposition player of the match and Stacy Brett was awarded managers player and deservedly so, showing great determination and spirit throughout the game.

Hugin Vikings 0 - 0 Fulston Fillies (16-12-07)

This was a very tough battle between 2 teams that showed little between them. Hugin holding 2nd spot in the league was always going to be a hard game but the girls battled really well and gave as good as they got. Hugin knew they was in a fight with the lions share of possession was going to the fillies. The game was very open with both teams creating chances, huging couldn't score because of some great goal-keeping from Jamie Vidler, Fillies couldn't score due to a combindtion of bad luck and really bad luck. The oppositions player of the match was awarded to centre back Amy Baker who had a very solid game in the center of defence.
Managers award was given to Jade Stockey who had a very solid and steady game at left back.

Fulston Fillies 3 - 1 Sheerness East (06-01-08)

a very slow start to the game for the girls after the Christmas break ,playing on a huge pitch the girls found the going tough and also found themselves a goal down at half time. During the break the girls were told that they looked second best and had to pull there socks up and  get back into the game. In the second half the girls looked like a different team, getting most of the possession and looking more likely to score.the girls pulled level thanks to grace baacke, the goal really lifting the girls spirit and the Fillies double their tally thanks to Alice Watling. The girls then put the game out of reach of sheerness with Grace Baacke grabbing her brace. Grace baacke was awarded manages player and oppositions player went to Shanice Marsh, who is improving every game and is looking more and more dangerous when in possession.
Bearsted 1 - 1 Fulston Fillies (27-01-08)

Definitely our poorest game of the season so far, everything the girls have learnt this season was forgotten in this game. In patches the girls showed what they could do, but it just was not good enough. the opposition scored within seconds off the kick off giving them a very early lead. When the Fillies got the ball they just couldn't get their game going. They looked scrappy and disjointed and play was breaking down all over the pitch. The second half began in much the same vein, the fillies drew back level, thanks to a well timed pass from Alice watling in to the path of Grace Baacke who ran through and scored. The girls must improve on this very poor performance, and I'm sure they will. Oppositions player was awarded to Naomi Kemsley managers award was not awarded this week as nobody deserved it.
