The Under 15's

Fulston Zebras 4 - 2 Chatham Colts (06-01-08)

Fulston got off to a lively start coming close in the first 5 minutes chances from Rob Kemp and Chris Ansley, but found them selves 2-0 down in the next 6 minutes with two long balls over the top of the defence. We switched the back four to a back three with Kieran Lamb playing sweeper and Aiden Jewis centre half which proved to be the making of a great come back. Martyn Baverstock went on a maurording right wing run from a throw out from our new reinstated goalkeeper Lewis Bond who had a fine game himself, Martyn beat four players and had a good effort on goal. Our first goal came from some tidy midfield play from new midfield player Adam Hendersen and Jimmy Collins the ball was crossed into the box where Rob Kemp vollyed home from the underside of the bar, that was the turning point of the game. Zebras kept the pressure on, and from a foul on the edge of the box, which Martyn Baverstock cooley bent it round the wall in the back of the net resulting in 2-2 at half time. We started the second half with renewed vigour and was all out attack. Rob and Chris combined well and from a left wing cross from Rob, Chris rose high to head home making it 3-2. They had a few efforts on goal which was either snubbed out by a solid defence and some good keeping. The fourth goal and final nail in Chatham's coffin was a jinking run from man of the match Billy Graham who was a constant thorn in Chatham Colts side. Some comments on the side asking if he was old enough and big enough to play was dampend when he took the ball past two players then passed it to Adam who time to steady himself and placed in the the bottom left hand corner of the net.
