Fulston Zebras Vs. Chatham Riverside (09/09/07)
Match 1 - Fulston Zebras 2 - 3 Chatham Riverside
Fulston Zebras started the game well and took an early lead when Zac Argent ran through to score after a flick on from Harley Wilson. Chatham
Riverside’s best line of attack was with the goalkeeper drop-kicking the
ball the length of the pitch. It was from this that Riverside equalised
after Callum parried the original kick to a Chatham player. Zebras continued to play the good football, Izaak Haynes nearly put away Zac’s cross before Zac himself broke through the defence to restore Zebras’ lead. Chatham equalised again with a well-struck long range effort after Fulston failed to clear. Jack Frampton saw a powerful free-kick go narrowly wide as teams went into the break level. In the second half Zebras continued to play well, with Bradley keeping the defence tight. However Fulston failed to clear and Riverside took the lead. Zebras threw everything at the away team with Jack, Izaak and Zac all having shots go wide or be well saved. But for all the possession and good football they could not get the equaliser. Man-of-the-Match Bradley Ryder produced a superb recovery tackle towards the end but it was Riverside who gained three points.
Match 2 - Fulston Zebras 2 - 3 Chatham Riverside
Fulston continued in the same vein in game two and played good football. Captain James Gasson covered every blade of grass and was in for every tackle and fought hard to win the ball and earn corners. With Adam Argent and Jordan Burton marshalling the game well at the back Zebras continued to press forward and were denied a penalty midway through the
half. James Gasson saw a couple of efforts go wide and Harrison Fellows was blocked out by the Riverside keeper. In the second half Zebras got the breakthrough when James’ cross was deflected into his own net by a Chatham defender. Fulston pressed on looking for a second but it was Riverside who got the next goal with a shot which was fumbled over the line. Zebras looked to restore their lead but after failing to clear Riverside took the lead and from a long throw went 3-1 up after a far post finish. The Riverside keeper was out at James’ feet to prevent a shot in the six-yard box. After a handball on the line Zebras were awarded a penalty which was converted by Man-of-the-Match James Gasson but there was no time left to equalise and Riverside once again went away with 3 points.
Walderslade Wolverines Vs. Fulston Zebras (16-09-07)
Match 1 - Valley Colts 1 – 0 Fulston Zebras
Both sides started this game brightly, with Zebras keeper Callum Gollop
pushing a Valley Colts shot onto the bar. Fulston started to push forward,
Jack Frampton’s long-range effort touched wide by the Colts keeper. Shortly afterward another shot from Jack was pushed wide by the keeper as Zebras began to box Valley Colts in. Valley Colts then took the lead with a well taken free-kick that went through the Zebras wall. Fulston continued to battle away well, with the impressive Jack returning the goalkeeper’s kick narrowly wide. Valley Colts tracked back well and went in at the break with the advantage. At the beginning of the second half both sides struggled to create any chances with both defences being helped out by their midfields. Zebras saw a corner fizz along the goal-line but nobody was able to get a finishing touch, where at the other end a superb recovery tackle by Bradley Ryder denied Valley Colts a second. Harley Wilson laid off a pass to Zac Argent whose fizzing drive rattled the post and came out. Zebras pushed for an equaliser but in the end all three points went to Valley Colts in a hard fought, enjoyable and evenly contested game. Man-of-the-match for Zebras was Jack Frampton for his hard working display.
Match 2 - Valley Colts 6 – 1 Fulston Zebras
Both teams battled away early on in this game. Zebras' keeper James Ryder did well at his near post at two Valley Colts’ corners to keep them out. James Gasson hit a shot up into the air towards the goal and the ball ended it up in the back of the net to give Fulston a lead. The goal seemed to galvanise the Valley Colts who threw everything at Fulston to get the equaliser, Adam Argent defending very well at the back with Jordan Burton also excelling just in front. Both teams battled like warriors but it was Zebras who went in at the break with the lead. Zebras lost their concentration as Valley Colts dominated the second half. Colts’ equaliser came from a superb run down the flank and a brilliant finish into the bottom corner. Shortly afterwards Colts followed up the keeper’s clearance to take the lead. James Ryder was superb in goal to keep Zebras in the game. Colts extended their lead when a corner was smashed into the six yard box and went in with the Colts player knowing little about it. Zebras’ heads visibly dropped and Colts ran in three more goals, but it could easily have been more were it not for some outstanding saves from man-of-the-match James Ryder.
Match 1 - Omega 92 Trojans 1 – 4 Fulston Zebras
Fulston Zebras started the game slowly and fell behind once again this season to another early goal. Zebras then started to play, Jack Frampton seeing his shot hit the bar and come back out. A Fulston free kick landed at Harley Wilson’s feet in the six-yard box who passed intelligently giving Zac Argent the chance to tuck away the equaliser. Zebras continued to pass well and but for the impressive Trojans goalkeeper, their movement and passing could have yielded more goals, Zac and Jack both denied brilliantly. In the second half Zebras turned the screw. A free kick was knocked into the air by the Trojans defender and Zac’s pressure on keeper and defender bundled the ball over the line to give them the lead. Trojans had a chance to equalise with a three on one but Bradley Ryder was superb at the back and managed to clear the danger. Fulston’s set pieces troubled Trojans, a corner nearly volleyed in at the back post by Zac. Jack doubled Zebras’ avantage with a free kick in the same position as the second, this one rifling straight in. And from a short corner Jack gave them a 4-1 lead with an absolute screamer. Zebras created more chances afterwards but the game ended 4-1, man-of-the-match going to Zac Argent who got the ball rolling.
Match 2 - Omega 92 Trojans 1 – 0 Fulston Zebras
Fulston started the game well, continuing the passing from team one. Kieran Goodwill was nearly put in by Harrison Fellows and a superb cross from Harrison went across the goal line but there was nobody there to finish. At the other end James Ryder continued his brilliant performance from last week, saving a one on one from six yards out. James Gasson cut inside and had a shot deflected wide whilst Trojans also played good football. Just before half-time Trojans had a corner which hit the post and was tucked away by a Trojan player on the line. At the start of the second, another Harrison cross was nearly turned in by Nathan Amaqui who miss-hit his shot. James Ryder produced two more good saves to keep Trojans within touching distance in a very tight game. Zebras pushed forwards towards the end, with the Trojans keeper producing two saves himself to keep their advantage. With the last kick of the game James Gasson was put through but his heavy touch allowed the keeper to get the ball and the whistle blew. Man-of-the-match was Jordan Burton for another tireless performance.
Match 1 - Walderslade Wolverines 1 – 8 Fulston Zebras
Zebras took the lead after some good passing, Harley Wilson getting his first of the season. Fulston were two up soon after, Owen taking down the goalkeeper’s kick before cutting inside and finishing with a low shot. Wolverines pulled one back with a low drive through James Ryder’s legs but the two-goal lead was restored with a fine lob from Owen Bareham just before half time. Zebras fourth came straight from the kick off, Harley passing to Owen who set up Zac Argent to turn inside and grab his seventh of the season. James Ryder produced another save from a two-on-one and both he and Bradley Ryder in defence kept the back solid. Jack came in from the wing to put number five inside the near post and he made it six with a first time shot set up by the brilliant Owen. Jack went close before his scuffed shot was turned in at the far post by Zac Argent. Zac then waltzed past three defenders and finished well to complete his hat trick. Jack hit the post before the end but couldn’t get hat trick as Fulston ran riot. Man-of-the-match went to Owen Bareham for his best display in a Zebras shirt.
Match 2 - Walderslade Wolverines 6 – 4 Fulston Zebras
Wolverines led early on with a swift shot past stand-in keeper Jacob Rutter. Zebras kept pushing forward with some good wing play from Harrison Fellows before Jordan Burton put James Gasson through to equalised for Fulston. Gasson then gave Zebras the lead after his corner was knocked back to him and he finished from a tight angle. Walderslade equalised with a corner and took the lead with a long shot from distance. James Gasson completed his hat trick to make it 3-3 at half time with a well placed finish. In the second half Walderslade took the lead, Jacob saving a cross but unable to keep the rebound from crossing the line. Some great defending by Wolverines kept them in front as well as a brilliant tip over from their keeper as Harrison Fellows, James and Nathan Amaqui all combined well. Wolverines went 6-3 with a couple of long-range efforts past the unlucky Jacob. James Gasson converted a late penalty after being brought down as he ran through to get his and Zebras’ fourth. Man-of-the-match was Adam Argent who marshalled the back well.
Match 1 - Fulston Zebras 0 – 4 Valley Colts
Zebras started the game shakily but Colts were unable to create any chances. Zac Argent put in a cross along the goal line but it was to be the closest that Zebras came to a goal in the first half. Valley Colts took the lead after the ball spilled out from a fine James Ryder save and their lead was doubled soon after thanks to some good passing. As Fulston pushed to try and bring one back they were caught on the break. James Ryder produced a top class save to keep the score down. In the second half Zebras played much better but despite some good tackling by Bradley Ryder and Jack Frampton at the back, there was no outlet up front. James produced another top save and man-of-the-match Jack Frampton cleared two shots off the line before Colts got their fourth from a corner in the last minute.
Match 2 - Fulston Zebras 0 – 5 Valley Colts
Fulston were again slow out of the blocks and Valley Colts raced into a three-goal lead with good passing and some great attacking play on the break. Zebras struggled to create anything up front; Harrison Fellows struck a good lay off from Nathan Amaqui but the Colts keeper saved well. Valley Colts then scored a fourth goal before the break with Adam Argent isolated in defence. In the second half Zebras matched Colts but another quick goal was their undoing. Despite the setback they continued to pass the ball, Harrison Fellows playing well in the midfield and fighting of the attentions of a Colts’ defender to get a good shot away. Kieran Goodwill, deputising in the Fulston goal for the second half, produced a great save and cleared the ball after a goalmouth scramble. Man-of-the-match was awarded to Kieran for his efforts all game.
Spartac Vs. Fulston Zebras (04-11-07)
Match 1 - Spartac 1 - 1 Fulston Zebras
Spartac shaved the bar early on but rarely troubled afterwards. Zebras showed plenty of good movement early on, Jack Frampton & Harley Wilson forcing good saves from the Spartac keeper. Jack had another long-range effort blocked by a defender and Zac Argent was there to give Zebras the lead. Going a goal down brought Spartac to life and they started to threaten. Slack marking from Fulston left a free man at the back post who finished well. Zac had several good runs from the back and flicked a corner narrowly wide before half time. The second half was an evenly contested affair. Jack drawing another good save from the Spartac keeper whilst at the other end Bradley Ryder was colossal with his tackling and keen eye. Harley broke through towards the end but was tackled before he could get his shot away and Man-of-the-match Callum Gollop produced a fine save to earn a share of the points.
Match 2 - Spartac 4 – 1 Fulston Zebras
Fulston started the game all guns blazing, pinning Spartac back in their own half with good work from Harrison Fellows. Once again, however, they were left short at the back and Spartac broke through to score off the post. Zebras continued to press, James Gasson bringing a good save from the Spartac keeper and Harrison shooting wide. Zebras were again caught on the break and Spartac doubled their lead with only their second shot of the game before half time. James brought another save from the keeper at the start of the second half before slack marking again was Zebras undoing and they went four down. Fulston woke up after that, Man-of-the-match Harrison running straight through the Spartac team and finishing expertly in the bottom corner for his first of the season. Despite good play from an improving Nathan Amaqui, several blocked shots from Jordan Burton and Harrison and a series of corners at the end, Zebras were unable to get any more goals.
Fulston Zebras Vs. Black Lion Youth (Cup) (11-11-07)
Match 1 - Fulston Zebras 0 – 5 Black Lion Youth
Zebras started slowly again and two exceptional saves from Callum Gollop kept the game goalless. He was unable to save them again soon after as poor marking left Lion unmarked in the box, scoring what was a soft goal. Going a goal down seemed to wake Zebras up and they began to contest the game a lot more. Both teams played well and Zebras more than held their own with the difference in division unnoticeable. The next goal was crucial in the game and it went to Black Lion with a looping shot over Callum and as Zebras pushed on the get back in the game they failed to get back and two unmarked Lion players ran in the third. Lion scored a fourth goal right at the start of the half with Fulston slow to clear. Zebras again came back into the game with some good play, seeing an Izaak Haynes shot fumbled off the goal line and despite several shots in the goalmouth scramble the ball would just not cross the line. Lion grabbed their fifth before the end to give themselves a comfortable lead for the second game. Man-of-the-match for the second week running was Callum Gollop for another superb display between the sticks.
Match 2 - Fulston Zebras 0 – 9 Black Lion Youth
Both sides played good early football but it was Lion who scored first with some great passing and moving. Their movement continued to cause Zebras problems and a header and near post finish gave them a three-goal lead. James Ryder tipped two more efforts over the bar to keep the score down. Harrison Fellows troubled the keeper at the end of the half but his shot was well saved. The start of the second half was a one sided affair, Fulston’s passing going straight to Lion players and they raced into a 7-0 lead as Zebras leaked goals like a sieve. Up front Jacob Rutter was working hard to earn corners and giving little flick-ons. Jordan Burton raced through the Lion defence and just when he looked certain to score the keeper saved bravely from six yards out and the ball trickled wide. Black Lion ran in two more goals and despite an effort from Nathan Amaqui at the end, Fulston were outclassed as Lion comfortably went through. Man-of-the-match was James Gasson for a very spirited performance.
Cobham Colts Vs. Fulston Zebras (18-11-07)
Match 1 - Cobham Colts 3 – 4 Fulston Zebras
Fulston put the pressure on early in this game and after winning several throws along the touchline and Jack Frampton scored direct from the resulting corner. Despite dominating early on, Zebras were unable to extend their lead as Cobham worked their way back into the game, Callum Gollop well out to prevent a certain goal before they equalised from some good play. The rest of the first half was a scrappy affair with neither side really threatening. Zebras scored straight from the re-start, some superb passing and a brilliant one-two between Nathan Amaqui & Zac Argent saw Zac’s shot come out off the post and Izaak Haynes put Zebras back in front with his first goal of the season. Fulston then failed to clear on several occasions and allowed Cobham to equalise. Fulston were back in front soon after, Zac rounding one player to score with his shot going in off the post. Nathan and man-of-the-match Izaak excelled all game and the Colts keeper was bravely out at Jack’s feet to prevent a fourth goal before a harsh handball decision gave Cobham the chance to equalise from the penalty spot. With the scores level Zebras were awarded a penalty, again for handball, in the last minute which Jack converted to earn all three points in a tense game.
Match 2 - Cobham Colts 4 – 0 Fulston Zebras
The wind picked up for the second game which made the going tough for both sides. An own goal gave Cobham an early lead before a brilliant strike doubled Colts’ lead. Despite Harrison seeing his shot saved, Cobham were three up when a sudden gust of wind blew the ball away from James Ryder in the Zebras goal and Colts tapped into an empty net. Fulston played much better for the rest of the half and were unlucky with their passing not quite coming off. Another shot from Harrison was saved before Adam Argent’s long-range effort was parried and gathered on the line by the keeper right on half time. At the start of the second James Ryder produced a top save and from a long kick his parry fell straight to a Colts player who finished well. The game was very evenly contested in the second half, neither side creating very much. Man-of-the-match Jordan Burton put in some fine challenges at the back whilst Harrison was unfortunate to see another shot go wide off the post. Colts hit the post before the end but the game finished four nil which flattered the home team.
Fulston Zebras Vs. Walderslade Wolverines (25-11-07)

Wolverines briefly threatened up front, James Ryder well out at their feet to prevent them taking the lead. A great cross by Harrison found Kieran Goodwill in the box and his poke across goal was saved on the line by the Walderslade keeper who was having a superb game and kept the first half goalless. James and Harrison continued their great interplay, Gasson’s shot cannoning off the post with Kieran putting the rebound just wide of the post. Zebras threw the kitchen sink at Wolverines who managed to clear the ball after a goalmouth scramble, which saw some great defending. And the keeper superbly denied Harrison again after his great run, but the keeper was finally beaten as man-of-the-match James Gasson demanded the ball in midfield and ran through to finish brilliantly with a couple of minutes to go. The defence kept their focus and Zebras took the three points with their best display of the season.
Match 2 - Fulston Zebras 6 – 1 Walderslade Wolverines
Callum Gollop saved well at his near post to prevent Wolverines taking an early lead. Harley Wilson put in a great tackle and after taking the ball down the wing his cross was cleared to Jack Frampton who arrowed it into the top corner. Zac Argent was running the midfield and after his shot was saved, Jack’s resulting corner went straight in. Zac then ran down the wing and his cross was superbly finished first time by Izaak Haynes for his second goal in two games. After the interval Wolverines pushed on to get back into the game, pinning Fulston back into their half and they pulled a goal back with a good strike. Zebras’ three-goal lead was immediately restored when Jack’s parried shot was tucked away by Harley Wilson who followed up well. A quick short corner to allowed Jack to cut inside and he buried his shot to claim his hat trick. Harley picked up a through ball, turned inside brilliantly and coolly finished to make it six one before the end. Man-of-the-match was Zac Argent who bossed the game in midfield and helped out man marking at the back.
Fulston Zebras Vs. Spartac (02-12-07)
Match 1 - Fulston Zebras 1 – 5 Spartac
Zebras started the game brightly in torrid conditions and after winning an early corner took the lead, Harrison Fellows finishing at the back post. But having taken the initiative Fulston sat back and allowed Spartac back into the game and the visitors equalised from a corner that skipped through and went in off a defender. Another two brilliant corners from Spartac saw them go 3-1 up and they added a fourth before the break as the ball skidded past James Ryder on the wet surface. In the second half, playing against an ever-increasing wind, Fulston battled on bravely. Zebras spent most of the half defending and did a great job keeping Spartac out. James Ryder produced two great saves, whilst upfront Harrison Fellows saw another shot saved as Fulston briefly threatened. Zebras took an early lead in this game, Harley Wilson finishing off both posts as the wind and rain picked up even more. But once again Spartac worked their way back into the game as a depleted Fulston squad battled on. Callum Gollop produced a brilliant save but Spartac equalised soon after. Zebras were missing key players and a one stage were playing with only five players but despite hitting the post late on in the half both sides went in at half time one apiece. In the second half, restored to six men, Zebras fought on against the wind but it was Spartac who took the lead soon after the break. Both sides struggled with the weather but Spartac scored two quick goals to give themselves breathing distance as Fulston tired. Before the end Zebras came close to pulling one back but the game finished 4-1. Man-of-the-match was given to Harley Wilson.
Fulston Zebras Vs. Real 60 Leopards (16-12-07)
Match 1 - Oak Athletic 2 – 0 Fulston Zebras
Zebras were under the cosh early on this game as Oak threatened with a series of corners, each time Fulston were able to clear the danger. As the half developed both sides played well but neither could create any clear-cut chances in a tight game. Oak eventually managed to score from a corner with a superbly placed header. Zebras continued to defender resolutely and went in at the break one down. Shortly after the break, Callum produced an excellent save but the rebound fell to an Oak player who doubled their advantage. From then on Zebras began to dominate the game and create chances. Zac Argent and Izaak Haynes played a superb one-two but as Zac bared down on goal the Oak keeper closed him down to grab the ball. Later on Jack rolled a defender but volleyed over the bar. The outstretched leg of the keeper denied Zac again with his shot was bound for the bottom corner. But despite their play Zebras could not pull a goal back. Man-of-the-match went to Harley Wilson for his effort and work-rate.
Match 2 - Oak Athletic 3 – 0 Fulston Zebras
Fulston played some good close football in the first half and saw several efforts trickle wide but were unable to trouble the Oak goalkeeper. Both teams struggled to create any chances as the ball was bogged down in the midfield with Zebras playing the better football. But it was Oak who took the lead just before the break with a thunderous shot off the post. In the second half Fulston continued to defend well, with Jordan Burton and keeper James Ryder excelling. James Ryder was out well to close down an Oak player as they threatened to double their lead. Man-of-the-match James Ryder produced two more outstanding saves before Oak’s scrambled shot was judged to have crossed the line to give them a 2-0 lead. After the second goal Fulston heads dropped and Oak scored a third with a low swooping header.
Match 1 - Real 60 Leopards 1 – 1 Fulston Zebras
Both sides started this game brightly in an even first half. Stand-in goalkeeper Jack Frampton produced several brilliant saves to keep Leopards at bay whilst at the other end Fulston created chances but were unable to trouble the goalkeeper. Both sides continued to play good passing football, showing plenty of commitment and battle in all areas of the pitch and the sides went into the break level. At the start of the second half Jack produced another superb save before Leopards ran through and took the lead. Despite being behind to the league leaders, Zebras kept on battling and did not let their heads drop. Some great passing and movement saw Izaak Haynes through only to shoot narrowly wide. At the back Fulston threw bodies in the way to block shots and clear the danger. Then from a corner Leopards failed to clear the ball and Bradley Ryder’s shot was flicked in by Izaak to get a deserved equaliser with the last kick of the game. Man-of-the-match could have gone to everyone for a magnificent display, but was awarded to Louis Sutton for an impressive performance on his debut.
Match 2 - Real 60 Leopards 3 – 0 Fulston Zebras
In another tight first half both sides matched the excellent football played in the first game. Zebras showed some excellent passing but were just unable to get the shot away in the final third. At the back Jordan Burton and Adam Argent were marshalling the defence and snuffing out any danger Leopards presented in a first half with Zebras probably just shaded. Fulston continued to press in the second half and could have taken the lead but man-of-the-match Harrison Fellows missed a great chance. At that point Leopards woke up and with a good run and finish took the lead. Fulston’s concentration level dipped and Real 60 scored two quick goals, but it could have been four but for keeper James Ryder who was bravely out to close down a one-on-one situation. James Gasson had two good opportunities to get Zebras back into it but the keeper saved well. The game finished three nil, which was harsh on Fulston who had seriously troubled the league leaders and perhaps deserved another point for their outstanding efforts.
Match 1 - Chatham Riverside 0 – 0 Fulston Zebras
Very blustery conditions hampered both teams and made it difficult to play football. Riverside countered from a Zebras corner but found Bradley Ryder in imperious form at the back. Up front Louis Sutton & Nathan Amaqui linked up well but Zac Argent blazed his shot over the bar. Both defences cancelled each other out in a stale first half with very few shots on goal. In the second half Fulston pushed forward to go for the three points but when Zac was through on goal he didn’t get his shot away and Riverside were able to clear. Bradley continued to defend brilliantly at the back whilst Zac had a shot saved. Riverside eventually managed to break free but the shot went narrowly wide. Fulston piled on the pressure at the end but Riverside blocked every effort and the game finished goalless. Man-of-the-match was the immense Bradley Ryder
Match 2 - Chatham Riverside 8 – 0 Fulston Zebras
The wind remained blustery and a long throw from Riverside went straight in, had James Ryder not touched it the goal would not have stood. Zebras struggled with the high ball and the wind, they failed to clear out a corner and the rebound was tucked away by Chatham and from another corner Riverside headed themselves into a three nil half time lead.
Things did not improve in the second half and despite valiant defending from Jordan Burton and man-of-the-match Adam Argent they were unable to prevent Riverside running away with it. More goals came from near post corners and long shots took the game beyond Zebras and although James Gasson briefly threatened the Riverside goal they were unable to pull a goal back.
Match 1 - Fulston Zebras 0 – 10 Oak Athletic
Oak scored two goals inside the first few minutes but Zebras recovered well with the outstanding Harrison Fellows in defence and Callum Gollop making several saves in the Fulston goal. The game settled down for the rest of the half with both sides cancelling each other out. Just before half time Harrison ran up for the corner but the Athletic keeper plucked his shot out of the air. With the sun shining into Callum’s eyes Oak took advantage shooting on sight from distance and into the air. Despite Callum and Harrison’s best efforts Oak ran away with it as the defence became isolated as Fulston struggled to get out of their own half. Man-of-the-match was awarded to stand-in captain Harrison Fellows who showed plenty of heart and commitment in defence.
Match 2 - Fulston Zebras 6 – 0 Oak Athletic
Zebras were slow out of the blocks but Oak were not able to create anything and as the half progressed Zebras created more and more openings. Jordan Burton’s cross in was poked beyond the keeper by Harley Wilson to give Zebras the lead. Fulston also hit the post twice before half time. Jack Frampton kept out Oak at the start of the second half and that save proved the difference as Harley Wilson brought the ball down at the other end and his lay-off was finished coolly by James Gasson. Zac Argent’s free-kick made it three and Harley Wilson got his second and Zebras’ fourth by rounding the keeper and finishing well. Zac’s long-range strike made it five. Man-of-the-match Harley Wilson was denied his hat-trick before Adam Argent’s superb curling effort rounded off the scoring in an impressive display of flowing, attacking football.
Match 1 - Fulston Zebras 1 – 0 Cobham Colts
Both sides had shots cleared off the line early on but that was the closest Cobham came to scoring in the first half. There was plenty of good passing and movement on show and with Adam Argent marshalling the defence Fulston stretched their legs. Harley Wilson was just unable to turn in Harrison Fellows’ cross and Louis Sutton struck the post as the half somehow ended goalless. The second half was a tense affair with nether side creating clear chances but always posing a threat. With the game on a knife edge Zac Argent took the ball into the area before striking the ball off the far post and into the net. Fulston kept it tight at the back, nullifying Cobham’s threat. Zac hit the side netting before the end but one goal was enough. Man-of-the-match was given to both Adam & Zac Argent
Match 2 - Fulston Zebras 0 – 6 Cobham Colts
Cobham pinned Fulston in their own half but found Jordan Burton immense at the back. He produced several strong tackles and blocks to thwart Cobham before a lucky bounce and header put them one up. Callum Gollop touched a shot onto the post before an unmarked Cobham player doubled their lead before half time. Zebras were slow in the second half and some slack marking allowed Cobham to go four up. Callum produced several saves and Jordan continued with more great defending but with little help from the rest of the team two more great strikes rounded off a fine Cobham display. Man of the match was given to Jordan Burton for a superlative display.
